CFS 2020 Grand Finals: Day 1 Results

The first day of CFS 2020 Grand Finals has finally concluded with extreme Group stage matches of Group A. Especially the opening
match between Q9 E-sports Club and GOLDEN V after the opening ceremony has heated up the venue. The heated atmosphere
continued throughout the following match between GOLDEN V and VINCIT Gaming, and the last match of day 1.

The opening match between Q9 E-Sports Club and GOLDEN V started in Port, where Q9 came out huge in the Global Risk by taking
down GOLDEN V to 8:1 in the first half. Even though GOLDEN V tried their every effort to chase Q9 and tie the game, Q9 eventually
won the 18^th round and won the first set to 10:8.

It was Q9 who took the spotlight in the second set in Sub Base. After finishing 5:4 in the first half, Q9 aggressive attack led GOLDEN V
to fail on their defense and the second set concluded to 10:6 in favor of Q9.

[Group A Match 2 - GOLDEN V vs VINCIT Gaming]

The series between GOLDEN V and VINCIT Gaming concluded with a one-sided game. VINCIT Gaming once again proved that they are
the last year's champion as their aggressive attacks and unbelievable plays by mNdS and Fefe made GOLDEN V struggle in Sub Base and Port.
After winning to 10:7 in the first set, VINCIT Gaming’s momentum continued as they finished the second set to 10:5.

[Group A Match 3 - VINCIT Gaming vs Q9 E-sports Club]

Last year’s champion team VINCIT Gaming came out victorious in the decider match for first place in Group A against the dark horse
Q9 E-Sports Club. After winning the first set in Sub Base to 10:6, VINCIT Gaming struggled in the second set as they lost to 10:7 in Ankara.
However, VINCIT Gaming’s momentum came out huge in the last set at Port by successfully taking 7 rounds in the first half. The match
ended at 10:6 in favor of VINCIT Gaming, and therefore VINCIT Gaming took first place in the Group Stage.
