The quarterfinals of CF at EWC 25 have concluded, and the battlefield has spoken.
From eight contenders, only four remain — the teams that stood tall and earned their place in the semifinals.
Thery are:
Team Stallions from the Philippines, BaiSha Gaming, EVOLUTION POWER GAMING and AG.AL from China.
Let’s take a look back at the quarterfinal clashes that decided the final four.
[Match 1: AL QADSIAH vs. Team Stallions]
Maps: Ankara, SubBase, Compound
MVP: STS_LOYY
On Ankara, STS opened strong with grouped attacks, and
no clutched a post-plant with a double kill to put them up 3–0. QAD adjusted their defensive holds, with
vnc securing a crucial double to close the half at 4–5. After the side switch,
akt and
MG found key rounds, but STS reached match point at 9–8. In the final round,
LOYY delivered a clutch double kill, sealing a tight 10–8 win for STS.
On SubBase,
no once again shined with a flashy quad kill in the opener, followed by
kLb’s four-piece on the stairs, giving STS a 6–3 lead at halftime. Switching sides, QAD tried to hold firm on defense, but both teams traded rounds. STS maintained their edge and closed out the map 10–6.
In the end,
STS defeated QAD 2–0, becoming the first team to advance to the semifinals.
[Match 2: Q9 CLUB vs. BaiSha Gaming]
Maps: Black Widow, SubBase, Compound
MVP: BS_YDSS
On Black Widow, BS executed grouped attacks with
YDSS and
577 chaining together multiple crucial multi-kills. Their superior clutch play earned them a dominant 8–1 halftime lead. After the side switch, Q9 managed to take two rounds back, but
Xxiao’s triple kill with pistols sealed the map 10–3 for BS.
On SubBase, BS set up strong defensive holds while
N9 found several key frags for Q9.
xmy and
Yu produced multiple multi-kills, yet BS held a narrow 5–4 lead at halftime. Switching sides,
YYDS and
Xxiao continued to shine, pushing BS to match point at 9–6. Q9’s
XJ and
xmy forced overtime, but BS held on to close it 13–11 in a thriller.
In the end,
BS defeated Q9 2–0 and advanced to the semifinals.
[Match 3: EVOLUTION POWER GAMING vs. ROC eSPORTS]
Maps: SubBase, Port, Eagle Eye 2.0
MVP: EP_ZAY
On SubBase, ROC struck first as
SNARE clutched back-to-back rounds with a double kill and then a triple kill. ROC carried a 6–3 lead into halftime. After the switch,
Horus pulled off a sneaky defuse, while EP’s
yh answered with a clutch of his own. However, repeated attacking errors cost EP, and ROC closed the map 10–6.
On Port, EP came out blazing.
yh and
xqq delivered multiple crucial frags, holding ROC to just one round as EP stormed to an 8–1 halftime lead. After the switch,
ZAY capped it off with a four-kill round, sealing a dominant 10–1 equalizer.
The decider on New Eagle Eye was all EP. With every player in form, they completely outgunned ROC.
xqq added a four-kill round and a 1v1 clutch, and EP finished the map 10–1 in commanding fashion.
In the end,
EP defeated ROC 2–1 to secure their spot in the semifinals.
[Match 4: AG.AL vs. KINGZERO-eSports]
Maps: Ankara, Eagle Eye 2.0, Compound
MVP: AG_ZY
On Ankara, KZ’s B1n and yf combined for a 2v4 clutch to open the map, fueling a dominant 5–0 start. AG could only take a single round as KZ stormed to an 8–1 halftime lead. After the switch, KZ quickly closed out two more rounds for a commanding 10–1 victory.
On Eagle Eye 2.0, AG’s Doo delivered multiple sniper multi-kills, but KZ’s B1n kept his team in the fight. AG held a 6–3 lead at the half, and despite back-and-forth trades in the second half, Doo continued to shine, securing a 10–6 win to level the series.
The decider on Compound was all AG. Jwei came up clutch in multiple rounds to push AG ahead 4–0, and with strong site holds and sharper execution in late rounds, they carried an 8–1 halftime lead. After the switch, ZY piled on with repeated multi-kills as AG completed a 10–1 shutout.
In the end, AG defeated KZ 2–1 to claim the final ticket to the semifinals.
The quarterfinals have set the stage, but the battle is far from over.
