Line Break: The Four Teams That Made the Mark at CFS 2015

2016-10-11Earl Carlo Guevarra

In every big stage, there are people and groups who stand up and make a mark in the respective histories of the endeavors that they are undertaking. In this regard, Crossfire Stars 2015 sets the pace as the premier tournament for CrossFire in the international circuit.

Thus, it is expected that the game-changing teams that can change the landscape of the game would appear in this tourney and indeed, these squads have defined the game in their own ways.

Here are the teams that made the biggest splashes in this year’s Crossfire Stars Grand Finals 2015:

1. HG.Longzhu

China has always been a powerhouse in eSports and in CrossFire, Chinese teams have always been at the top of the CrossFire food chain. HG.Longzhu is what high-level standard CrossFire stands for: Methodical, balanced and thorough in their play, Longzhu are dangerous for being able to grab comebacks despite being behind early in the game.
Their players are individually strong, but at the same time, they are able to utilize their strengths to create carefully orchestrated gameplays that usually win them the round, hands down.

2. PENTA Sports

As Europe’s best team, PENTA had to face numerous opponents in order to claim their spot as the year’s second best team, just behind the star-studded HG.Longzhu. While they are mostly known for their “in-your-face” tactics as well as their extremely aggressive play, they are also known for being competent on the defensive side of the map.
Their discipline is known to be one of the highest in-game, with players never peeking unnecessarily unless totally needed and always playing as a team even when pushing all over the map.

3. Pacific.Macta

Pacific.Macta is simply known for two things: otherworldly aim and godly sniping. It is not surprising that these two qualities have allowed them to reach the top echelons of the international Crossfire scene, even if at times they seem to be inexperienced in doing setups on the defensive side as well as executing on the offensive side.

However, they have the materials and the manpower to become better. If they are able to refine and polish their gameplay, they can become one of the best teams in the world…and the Philippines has shown in the past that the country is capable of creating teams that can destroy the Chinese in the server, as what happened in past tournaments.

4. INTZ

Brazil’s very own INTZ has two distinct strengths that separated them from the rest of the competition: First, their players can play any role possible, which meant that their strategies and tactics can change from time to time, giving the opponent no room for reading through their setups.

Secondly, when they execute a strategy, they execute it very cleanly that it takes “godlike” performances in order to stop them – and this means many of the teams that they have faced do not have the required equipment to counter their strategies, thus making them dangerous opponents.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thus, we have the teams that made waves at last year’s CrossFire Stars Grand Finals 2015.

Will we see more plays? Will we see a broader range of strategies?

The hype is real!
