Christian “REVENGE” Amores: The Measure of Precision

The crowd falls silent as the Black List sniper peeks down the long path leading to the A site at Black Widow. It is a patient game and the match has just started.

All of a sudden, he picks two kills out of nowhere.

That’s how fast Christian “REVENGE” Amores gets his kills: quick, unexpected and effective. As one of the best snipers in the world, REVENGE is second to none in terms of his aggressive sniper play.

His pickoffs have allowed Philippines’ Pacific.Macta to become one of the best teams in the world, only second to the Chinese teams. At the same time, he is a very good pistol player, which allows him to survive close-range encounters.
Overall, he is one of the lynchpins in the strategies that Macat runs during tournaments,
However, his slumps have caused Pacific.Macta to go down the drain at times.

Pacific.Macta needs to reduce their reliance on him if they want to be able to create more executes and setups, especially in maps that does not allow the sniper role to shine.

Jupiter Mars “ELGEE” Gaboy

If there was someone who can be rightly called as the “Chinese slayer” and who has produced consistent and strong results to back up that claim, it would be no other than Jupiter Mars “ELGEE” Gaboy.

While his legend is etched in that one-on-four clutch at Mexico during a crucial match in the 2013 World Cyber Game (WCG) CrossFire category, he has already been feared as a player and as a captain for a very long time, with his story spanning across multiple first-person shooter (FPS) titles.

Many would agree that he reached his peak with his former team in the form of MSI-EvoGT; however, he has since made a decent comeback with TNC Pro Team in the Philippine CrossFire circuit.

ELGEE is the type of player that frags reliably and consistently; his experience allows him to read and counteract the strategies of his opponents while at the same time place impact frags on the board that will keep his team at an advantage, allowing the other fraggers and/or on his team to shine.

In addition, his long years of play come handy when it comes to 1vX clutch situations, winning rounds that his team has no right whatsoever to win.

The only weakness that can be thought when it comes to ELGEE is the fact that he can be outstratted heavily at times, especially when the opponent is able to study his playstyle. Once he is shut down, he is unable to contribute anything to the team.

John Kenneth “ZYK” Alde

When one talks about Philippines’ Pacific.Macta, people like the flashy sniper Christian “REVENGE” Amores or the fragging captain Dennis “BAYO” Ramos come to mind.

However, many forget about the art of the entry fragger, the one who gets first into the fray to get the first peek and possibly a couple of kills in order to create an opening for his team. Unfortunately, they are also among the first to die.

Still, John Kenneth “ZYK” Alde is able to deliver his job by getting at least a kill during the opening seconds of a round, allowing room for REVENGE, BAYO and the rest of the team to concentrate on their roles and create more options for Pacific.Macta especially in matches against strong opposition.

True to the notion of the entry fragger, he is not the one who has the most number of kills in a match. However, he is able to get highlight reel-worthy kills in a really surprising manner, thus changing the tide of a round which was written off by everyone, including his own teammates.

No one can count ZYK out of the game unless the round is totally over.

Aldrin “Aldrin” Paul Borabon

Most people would think of FPS as just something that requires a high amount of aim. In reality, there’s more than that. Entry fragging involves having some insane reflexes and quick aim in order to be able to beat any defenses that the opposing side can have. It is not a coincidence that these players have some of the worst kill-death-assist (KDA) ratios in-game.

However, Aldrin “Aldrin” Paul Borabon of Pacific.Macta breaks this notion by getting positive kill-death-assist (KDA) ratios despite the fact that he is the first one entering into a site; in addition, he is able to get explosive and consistent rounds on the board, thus becoming a monster that opponents need to pay extra attention to.

He also doubles as a lurker, which allows creating more strategic and tactical options for his team when fighting against both local and international opponents.
