All Gamers: A Dream Come True
CAPTION: There is a clear level that separates the crowd from the best that Crossfire can offer.
With their historic win at the CrossFire Stars (CFS) Invitational Manila 2016, All Gamers (AG) from China has cemented themselves as the best CrossFire team in the world.
Beating strong rivals in the form of Vietnamese team BOSS.CFVN, Brazilian side Remo Brave eSports and hometown favorites Pacific.Macta, AG never had an easy path to their second international CrossFire trophy outside of China as they were beaten by the Vietnamese in the group stage, denying them the first seed for the playoffs.
However, with their superior fragging and slightly better level of strategy, AG managed to beat everyone to the throne and towards completing a story for Chinese CrossFire.
When asked about their feelings on bagging the trophy, 70kg said that “they feel very elated about this and that they were quite happy about getting the CFS Invitational Manila 2016 championship.”
Now, for those who are unfamiliar with Chinese eSports culture, the Chinese place a high premium on excellence and results. This is best exemplified by EHOME of Dota 2 fame, in which Wen Yi '71' Tang has been quoted to say in Free to Play, a Valve Dota 2 documentary:
“The only ones that we bring home are the championship trophies. The rest? We throw them at the airport.”
Afterwards, at the press conference, the members of AG mentioned that they had a hard time adjusting during the first day of the tournament, thus dropping more rounds than what was expected of them.

However, in the second day, they bounced back and on the back of a Filipino crowd who wildly supported them to take the trophy, they crushed all their opponents to varying degrees.
Here is what the team has to say about the Filipino crowd:
“We were clearly motivated by the level of support that they have shown throughout the tournament. In fact, we were amazed at the passion and dedication that the Filipinos had for all the teams going into this tournament.”
Finally, Pengfei “Even” Zheng, the MVP of the Grand Finals with 40+ kills in two maps, had something very interesting to say about their win at the CFS Manila Invitational:
“When we came to the Philippines, we wanted to present ourselves in the best way, try not to disappoint our legions of fans that were supporting us along the way…and we wanted to win this trophy so much for our country.”
Clearly, a loss in Manila would have dented the confidence of the Chinese fans towards their team; after all, the date of the CFS Grand Finals was fast approaching.
The interview ended with a message thanking the Filipino fans for their endless support and that they wish to come back to the Philippines in any capacity that they could.
