DAY 1 of the CFS 2023 Grand Finals has come to an end.
Before the tournament matches, we had a time during the opening to greet fans with the presence of the top 12 teams worldwide!
Following that, the official start of the CFS 2023 Grand Finals Group Stage took place.
CHENGDU ALL GAMERS, VINCIT Gaming, and BaiSha Gaming each secured victories against their opponents, starting their journey with a winning streak.

Now, shall we take a moment together to review the results of today's matches?



[Group A Match 1: AG.CD vs LCK]
Maps: Sub Base, Ankara, Eagle Eye

In the first set, AG.CD's ZY and ZQ staged a comeback with a 2v5, but LCK's Dizayn recorded 9 headshot kills, concluding the first half with a score of 6:3. In the second half, AG.CD fiercely chased LCK, pushing it to overtime and engaging in a close battle that went into a golden round. Ultimately, LCK secured the golden round, taking the first set with a victory.

In the second set, AG.CD dominated LCK, finishing the first half with a score of 7:2. They continued their overwhelming performance in the second half, securing the second set with a score of 10:2.

For the third set, AG.CD carried the momentum from the second set, scoring consecutive points. Throughout the third set, AG.CD didn't give LCK any openings, conceding only three rounds and taking the set 3:0.

In the end, AG.CD triumphed over LCK with a score of 2:1, becoming the winner of Match 1.



[GroupB, Match1: VINCIT Gaming vs RANKING ESPORTS]
Maps: Ankara, Compound

The first set started with aggressive approaches from both teams leading to a close game throughout the first half; however, VINCIT Gaming have increased their pace and overtook RANKING ESPORTS, taking the first set.

In the second set, VINCIT Gaming continued their excellent gameplay, committed to win. yet RANKING ESPORTS were catching up, making it a neck-and-neck game and even overtaking VINCIT Gaming. VINCIT Gaming bounced back and took the victory, finishing the match after 2 sets.



[GroupC Match1: BaiSha Gaming vs 3BL Esports]
Maps: Port, Compound
 
In the first set, BS executed a flawless defensive strategy. BS's N9 secured consecutive headshot kills, while CZY and Xxiao recorded multiple kill streaks, concluding the first half undefeated at 9:0. In the second half, 3BL managed to secure only 1 point, and BS claimed victory in the first set with a score of 10:1.
 
Moving on to the second set, BS 577's early contributions led BS to a 6:0 lead. Despite 3BL adjusting their top defense and recovering 2 points, BS showcased dominance in the first half, leading 7:2. In the second half, BS Xxiao completed a 1v1 endgame, scoring three consecutive points, and BS secured victory in the second set with a score of 10:2.
 
In the end, BS emerged victorious with a 2:0 score against 3BL, winning Group C Match 1.
