The CFS INVITAITONAL VIETNAM 2017 took place during October 28 and 29 in Hanoi, Vietnam. The best pro teams of the CFEL and CFPL and a European team, clashed against each other for the championship. Let’s take a look at the scene!
 

 
The group stage of the CFS INVITTATIONAL VIETNAM 2017 happened the first day. We could see a lot of Vietnamese fans in the venue. It was indeed the biggest international CROSSFIRE tournament held in Hanoi.
 

 
Tournament goods were being given to the onsite fans and we could also see cosplayers around, especially the female cosplayers with the most popularity.

Players greeted each other before the match and prepared for the game.  
 

 
The first match started in the midst of the Vietnamese crowd cheers.
 

 
In the Group Stage, Black Dragons advanced to the semifinals as the first placer from Group A by defeating both Boss.CFVN and Execration.Reborn. Boss.CFVN was the second team to advance from Group A by taking out Execration.Reborn with one victory.
 
In Group B, the world champion Super Valiant took both victories against EVA TEAM and FlipSid3 Tactics and followed by EVA TEAM as the second team to advance to the semifinals.
 

 
On the semifinals, Black Dragons defeated EVA TEAM with a score of 2:1 while Super Valiant overthrew Boss.CFVN in a consecutive 2 set win.
We saw the battle between the two Vietnamese teams for the third place. We also saw this match during the Vietnam CFEL Season 2 final as well as the CFS 2017 Vietnam NF final match. It was a tough match but in the end EVA TEAM defeated Boss.CFVN, getting the third place glory in their home ground.
 

 
The final match was between Black Dragons and the current world champion Chinese team SV. As it has been in the international tournaments, China has been dominating the championship, which to most of the fans would have expected for this CFSI too. But to our surprise, Black Dragons showed us a strong game from the beginning, going until the Golden Round in the first set, but SV taking the first map.
The second map was also a competitive game with both teams not letting each other a big gap in the rounds. In a tight fight, Black Dragons closely reach the 10 rounds and each team had won 1 map. The last set was the toughest. Everyone in the venue was holding their breath in each round, and again both teams went overtime. In the last Golden Round, Black Dragons achieved a dream come true. They beat the undefeated world champion SV and took the victory.
 

 
At the end of the tremendously intense match, an unexpected turn of event occurred in front of our eyes. Black Dragons from Brazil took the victory of the CFS INVITATIONAL VIETNAM 2017 and became the first non-Chinese team to be champion in the history of CFS.
 

 
The closing ceremony took place with all the teams on the stage.
