Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Smilegate, Inc. ("Smilegate") may sell or share the personal information of players participating in CROSSFIRE STARS ("CFS") esports tournaments with its data partner, GRID eSports GmbH, for the purposes described in the CFS Privacy Policy. GRID uses this information to provide official esports data, match results, and odds-related information to licensed betting operators, and to provide data analysis and integrity monitoring services.

If you are a player who has participated in a CFS tournament, you have the right to direct Smilegate not to sell or share your personal information. Smilegate does not sell or share the personal information of players under 16 years of age without affirmative consent.

What information is covered

This right applies to the personal information collected in connection with your participation in CFS tournaments, including:

• Match data: all in-game logs, including KDA, movement paths, accuracy, reaction speed (including past match data)

• Media data: match footage, voice, likeness, nickname, team affiliation, nationality

• Personal data: real name, date of birth, player ID

How to submit a request

To exercise this right, please send an email to cfs@smilegate.com with the following information:

• Your full name and the player ID used in CFS tournaments

• The tournament or tournaments in which you participated

• A statement that you are requesting to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information

If you are submitting a request on behalf of a player as an authorized agent, please also include documentation demonstrating your authorization to act on the player's behalf. We may take additional steps to confirm that the request was submitted by the player or an authorized agent, including contacting the player directly at the contact details provided during tournament registration.

We will process your request within 15 business days of receipt, and will notify you of the outcome by email once your request has been processed.

We may contact you at the email address from which the request was sent if we need additional information to identify your CFS tournament records. Providing this information is not a condition of your request being honored.

Personal information collected through this process is used solely to verify and process your request, and is not used for any other purpose.

Effect of your request

The free coaching data service is provided on a team basis, using the match data of all five players on a team. If one player's match data is excluded, the remaining data is not sufficient for the in-team comparison and evaluation that the service relies on, and the coaching metrics for the other players cannot be calculated accurately.

As a result, if you opt out, the free coaching data service will not be available to your team. This is a consequence of how a team-based service operates, and not a penalty or discriminatory treatment for exercising your right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

What happens after your request is processed

Once your request is processed, Smilegate will stop selling and sharing your personal information going forward, and will notify our data partner without undue delay. Our data partner is contractually required to cease using the relevant personal information upon receiving such notice, unless it has a lawful basis to continue processing it.

Please note that opting out does not require the deletion of personal information that has already been provided, and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before your request.
