“Q9 E-Sports Club crowning the first championship title.”
The most prestigious CROSSFIRE esports competition, the CFS 2020 Grand Finals came to an end in great success after the intense matches
of Day 4. Let’s take a look at how the 3rd/4th Place Match and the Grand Final Match concluded.
[3rd/4th Place Match – Black Dragons vs SuperValiant Gaming]
The 3rd/4th Place Match ended with a total score of 2:0 (10:6, 10:5) in favor of Black Dragons. Mazin and Goken from Black Dragons
dominated the scene by stacking up their kills to 32 and 28 kills during the two sets (Port, Sub Base). It looked promising to the Chinese team
as N9 opened the way for his team by successfully penetrating Black Dragons players. However, SuperValiant Gaming’s momentum came up
short during the second half in both sets. Therefore, the Chinese team ended up giving third place to the Brazilians after a tough
match.

[Grand Final Match – Q9 E-Sports Club vs VINCIT Gaming]
The first match of the Grand Final Match between the defending champion and the challenger was played in Black Widow, where Q9 made
a successful reversal after finishing the first set to 4:5. As VINCIT Gaming had their weakness of not having a main sniper to easily take down
the opponents in A site, Q9 aggressive attacks on A site led VINCIT Gaming to lose essential rounds in the second half. VINCIT Gaming, who
locked Q9 3 rounds after losing the crucial rounds, made a wrong decision at the 18th round, which caused them to lose the first set to 8:10.
The two finalists performed outstanding in-game management skills during their Black Lists side, even though the map is more friendly to the
Global Risks. After only winning 3 rounds in the first half, 1998 from Q9 clutched 1v2 in 2 consecutive rounds, which gave Q9 a huge reversal
at the last moment of the match. Q9 came off victorious thanks to 1998’s massive clutch plays.
VINCIT Gaming, who was on the verge of handing over the championship title as they were down to 2:0 in the series, started to arouse their
aggressiveness in Port. Finishing the first set to 5:4, VINCIT Gaming fast and ferocious attacks in the second half overwhelmed Q9’s defense,
leading the match to end to 10:6 and move the series to the 4th set.
The most intense match in CFS 2020 Grand Finals was played in the fourth set of the Grand Final Match. The match extended to the Extra
Rounds as the regular rounds weren’t enough to decide a winner. However, VINCIT Gaming’s players showed their incredible individuals skills
in the Extra Rounds, Ryuzao clutching 1v3, and Lukaum & Fefe winning 2v4 situation in the last round. VINCIT Gaming’s 13:11 victory in
Sub Base took the series to the last set, which was played in Ankara.
VINCIT Gaming had a good start in the first half as they managed to take 3 consecutive rounds as soon as the last set started. However, VINCIT
Gaming seemed to be off-guard after taking 3 rounds, which led the first half score to 4:5 in favor of Q9. Q9 didn’t miss this opportunity in the
second half and succeeded in locking down VINCIT Gaming’s aggressive attacks. The last set of the championship decider match ended with a
total score of 10:7 in favor of Q9, with BEAN taking the MVP after his decent clutch plays in Ankara.
[Grand Final Match – MVP]
